The Role for which you are applying is exempt from the provisions as detailed in the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exemptions) Order 1975. It means that any cautions, reprimands or final warnings, as well as convictions that are unspent, must be disclosed. All applicants who are offered employment with us, will be subjected to a criminal record check in the form of a Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS) prior to appointment being confirmed.
On receiving any information pertaining to your DBS check, this will be kept confidential and in accordance with the provisions, as detailed in the Data Protection Act and will not be held longer than is necessary. Only relevant convictions and other information, will be taken into account and does not necessarily remove you from our recruitment process. Although dependent on the nature of your Role, the details contained in your criminal record we may need to review such decisions.
